I agree that your banner is unique, but I would have made it smaller - it kinda takes away from the rest of the page.

I like your banner a lot but I feel as though it's a bit too dominant. Also, you should rearrange the "Sound Off" section. You have a lot of empty space and that can be distracting if it's not used in the appropriate way.
