Ryan Howard is having an incredible season so I thought that I would create a magazine cover dedicated to him. I decided to only make him black and white with a colored background. I did this because he is quickly becoming a sports icon, so I thought that he deserved a classic feel.

I like this a lot. The black and white photo on the color background is a really cool idea, and the simplicity of it makes it look real to life.

I think you chose a great photo for your cover, but it might have been more effective if you left Ryan Howard in color and desaturated the crowd in the background. It's a nice, simple design, though.
